This past Sunday, Mickey Rooney turned 92 years young. One of his classic movies, and what many consider a breakthrough for the actor considering he went against the goody two-shoes “Andy Hardy” image that catapulted him to fame, Quicksand, is available for download through the Internet Archive.

The 1950 film noir also stars Peter Lorre and Jeanne Cagney. Rooney’s character “borrows” $20 from the cash register of the mechanic he works for so he can go on a date. His character gets into more trouble as he subsequently tries to cover up the evidence of the missing money when a bookkeeper shows up to the shop earlier than expected.
